B&M Models originated under the name Bookings Inc. in 1980. With new management in the 1990's, the company successfully met the demands of the ever-changing fashion industry with a new image and identity. As of 1995, the agency was re-named B&M Models.

B&M Models purposefully has a single home office in Toronto, Canada. Their models are able to choose which agencies they want to work with outside of Toronto; they have strong relationships with all the top agencies throughout North America and around the world. Their models are given the freedom to make their own international placement decisions versus being limited by the boundaries of their home agency's network.
