SPRING SUMMER 2011
Blanco pays tribute to summer light with Bianca Balti and Evandro Soldati as the main protagonists.
Madrid, 1 February 2011
The new Spring Summer 2011 collection by Blanco is mainly warm. The light and shadow effects surround a colouristic campaign in which green, navy blue, coral and ochre stand out.
The chain of stores has gone retro this season with styles from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Feminine looks bring back innocent cuts such as babydoll dresses with bib necks and semi-transparent cotton or embossed lace. The most classic patterns are back: navy blue with white polka dots. And of course, contrasts: maxi and mini shapes alike.
Splashes of colour come with exotic prints such as wild flowers and leopard, which appears in the background once again to complement looks and give personality; or other sweeter ones like hearts, navy stripes or liberty prints.
Flowing fabrics hang perfectly in extra-long trousers and oversized garments wrapped around wasp waists. Denim, for its part, clings to the silhouette and pinup shorts are worn with fine or soft knit blouses.
The rules to complete the look are the following: slim-fit maxi skirts and trousers with platforms; mini shorts or small dresses with decorated ballerina flats; and essential accessories such as metal bangles or geometric bracelets to go with any look.
For men, sporty & urban are the trends this season. Clothes that are comfortable and easy to wear, such as chino trousers, which Blanco brings with a youthful look, adding elastic round the ankles and combining sporty lines with more classic looks.
Green khaki is the favourite colour this season and the common factor in both the styles in fashion: military and safari.
For their part, natural tones like cream, watery green and sky blue add a different touch to jeans.
