Noémie Lenoir (born September 19, 1979) is a French supermodel and actress.
Lenoir was born in the town of Les Ulis, a suburb of Paris. Her parents are French - her mother comes from La Réunion and is of Malagasy descent. She is married to French international football player Claude Makélélé of Chelsea FC. They have one child together, a son named Keylan (born 2 February 2005).
Lenoir was discovered in Versailles when she was a teenager, then signed to various modelling agencies. This led to her working with famous fashion photographers like Mario Testino and Peter Linbergh resulting in shoots being published in such magazines as Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire.
In 2001, Lenoir signed with L'Oréal, and has since appeared in their advertisements alongside French supermodel Laetitia Casta and long-term model and actress Andie McDowell. She has also worked for Victoria's Secret, Gap, and NEXT. Lenoir is currently the face of UK high-street retailer Marks & Spencer, and can be seen in various British magazines and billboards alongside fellow models Twiggy and Laura Bailey.
More recently, Lenoir has turned her attention to acting and has had minor parts in several successful French films. She also appeared opposite Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek in the film After the Sunset, as well as in Rush Hour 3, for which she had her head shaved bald. In early 2007 she was seen sporting a short bleached haircut.
She has worked for Victoria's Secret and appeared in their 2007 and 2008 fashion show. She has also been in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 editions of the magazine.
