Rachel Zoe is an American professional fashion stylist notable for having worked with numerous high-profile female celebrities. She is married to investment banker Roger Berman. There is debate over her age, however an item in a GW alumni publication lists her graduation year as 1993, so she is most likely to be around 35.
It has been rumored in many celebrity gossip websites that Rachel Zoe also acts as a dealer of illegal narcotics, specifically cocaine. This rumor may have started due to the fact that many of Zoe's clients, such as Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie, rapidly lost weight after soliciting her services as a fashion stylist. One prominent side-effect of prolonged cocaine usage, among other things, is extreme weight loss. It should also be noted that many see Zoe herself as severely underweight. In November 2006, after being fired by Nicole Richie, she was slammed by tabloids as well as Nicole herself on her MySpace page, where even more alligations of a cult-like obsession with anorexia were made.
Rachel Zoe has also been referenced in articles about Clenbuterol. Clenbuterol is a veterinary medicine, used primarily to control asthma in horses. It is used in an off-label manner (outside the manufacturer's recommendations) by people looking to rapidly lose weight. Initially popular in the bodybuilding community, it is attracting more public awareness thanks to tabloid coverage of the alleged use in the Hollywood community. Its notoriety is based on both its dramatic results and various side effects, such as heart problems.
Zoe also has been a stylist for Mischa Barton, Kate Beckinsale, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, Paris Hilton, and Keira Knightley in recent years. After graduating from the George Washington University where she majored in sociology and psychology, she worked for YM magazine. She has no formal fashion training.
